Having always aspired to work in the media, Julia began her journalism career with Sky News in 2008.
In 2007, Julia completed an Arts degree at the University of Sydney - majoring in English and Modern History. Shortly after, she began freelancing for Sky News as an online content developer in 2008, working weekends while she completed her honours thesis in American history.
On graduating with first class honours at the end of 2008, Julia was offered a full time position as part of the digital news team at Sky and throughout 2009 she gained valuable broadcast experience as a producer on the Sky News Channel and the Sky News Business Channel.
In February 2010, Julia was deployed to Perth to work alongside Perth bureau chief Adam Harvey and report on Western Australia's ever-expanding business and resources sector.
