
Bridie Barry joined Sky News in 2006 as a producer on the channel's main news desk, before moving to the business team in June this year.
She returned to Australia last year after five years in London working as a producer and reporter at ITN and then the BBC, covering events such as the September 11 attacks and the death of Pope John Paul II.
Prior to this, she worked for five years with WIN Television in Queensland as a presenter on the evening news bulletins in Cairns, Townsville and Rockhampton while also reporting on everything from natural disasters to developments in the mining and agricultural industries.
Bridie began her career as a producer at Channel 9 in Brisbane while completing a BA in Journalism and Government at the University of Queensland.
